Weekly Disinfectant Treatments

When the Dog Poop Techs clean up your yard, they can spray each "pooped on" area with a "poop off" disinfectant solution to help kill any bacteria left behind. This is an extra process and uses liberal amounts of disinfectant solution, consequently we have to charge a couple dollars extra for the service. Despite varying costs of the solutions we charge a flat rate of $3 per cleanup to add your choice of disinfectant spray.

That is just $156/year to have each area that your dog has "pooped on" sprayed with disinfectant keeping the lawn safe year round and preventing long term accumulation of viruses and parasites.

These are the same chemical treatments we use for the full lawn disinfecting services except in those cases we use hundreds of gallons of solution to flood the lawn. The spot treatments are simply applied to each area where poop was picked up keeping bacteria at a minimum without having to disinfect your entire yard.

Types of Disinfectants Used

Biowish: A natural enzyme that is activated just before using. The enzyme is a natural organic enzyme that will break down solid waste with no harmful effects or odors. This product is used in commercial cattle farming where large amounts of fecal matter are present and must be treated regularly. It is also used in waste water treatment facilities so it is a logical choice for digesting the dog poop left on lawns.

This treatment is the best not only because it is safe for the environment, non toxic and fast, but because it will continue to break down solids left on the grass or soil. It will continue to eat the solid waste until the source is gone. Whereas the chemical cleaners will disinfect the solids remaining and render them harmless, they will not eliminate them over time like the Biowish enzymes.

Biowish possesses powerful anti-bacterial properties which remove many harmful pathogens such as E-coli, Salmonella, Staphylococcus, Lysteria and Cholera.

Each of the products we offer has unique properties allowing customers to make sensible choices that are right for their own yard. We have tried to provide the broadest range of products from organic enzymes to aggressive bactericides to accommodate all preferences. Each is a very good solution for disinfecting, but they all work in different ways and impact the yard differently.

* Healthy lawns are hardy and can handle severe troma such as lawn mowing and harsh chemicals without any visible impact. However, unhealthy lawns can react poorly to disinfectants or even die in areas where chemicals are sprayed. If lawns are dried out, sick or in an unhealthy state you should understand the impact of using disinfectants before requesting the service. The Consan Triple Action 20 is usually safe on all plants and is the better choice for damaged lawns. The Biowish is organic and also relatively lawn safe in most circumstances because the enzymes only eat dead cells and should not impact live grass.
